Conferences then began as we watched Rupert Schmid and Pierre-Louis Delapalme take stage. Discussions on growth, new innovations, and reformulations were all key topics for the day. Dr. Philippe Allouche then announced the highlight of the day. The gala reception that night began outside with a jazz band parade. The streets of New Orleans were closed just for us as people stared and took photos on the sidewalk wondering what was going on. We headed into The Fillmore for a cocktail hour. The jazz band followed inside and played as we sipped champagne by the bar. We then sat down for a formal dinner and danced the night away.

Hands-on workshops began the next day, but Jena and I were taken away by horse & carriage for the “owners and managers experience”. A 15 minute trot around the city led us to Fritzel’s European Jazz Pub, Bourbon Street's oldest continual traditional jazz club. We relaxed in the club as a live jazz band played all afternoon and took requests. The time had then come to head back home. It was such a wonderful experience to not only explore a new city, but to learn so many new things about Biologique Recherche. I’m counting the days until the next summit!
